AVBC Terms and Conditions of Payment

Your Responsibility

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have submitted all required documents with your application before proceeding with payment. All documents must be in the correct format and must meet the standards outlined for acceptance.

If you pay for an assessment and you are found to be ineligible to have applied, the application fee will not be refunded.

Skills Assessment

You should not pay for a skills assessment online unless you are sure that you have read and understood the requirements of the application process and are confident that you have submitted a completed application in this regard. Common omissions are failure to provide evidence of a current pass in an English proficiency test to the standard required by the AVBC and failure to provide evidence of your current registration as a veterinarian with an Australian State or Territory.

If your native language is not English, you must provide evidence that you meet AVBC’s English Language Standards. If you are required to take the English Language Test Pathway, you must achieve the required minimum scores in one of the approved English language tests specified here:

• IELTS (academic module) – a minimum score of 7 in each of the four components (listening, reading, writing and speaking).

• OET – a minimum score of B or 350 in each of the four components (listening, reading, writing and speaking).

• PTE Academic – a minimum score of 65 in each of the four communicative skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking).

• TOEFL iBT with a minimum score in each section of the test as follows: 24 for listening, 24 for reading, 27 for writing, 23 for speaking

The result must have been achieved within the last two years.

Evidence of your current registration with an Australian veterinary registration board is required.

The requirements of the Skills Assessment application process are detailed on this website and on the application form itself. Please make sure you are familiar with them.

If you pay for a Skills Assessment and you are found to be ineligible to have applied, the application fee will not be refunded.
