The University of New England (UNE) is inviting applications for a PhD project supported by the NSW Veterinary Practitioners Board and endorsed by the AVBC on “The Epidemiology of Complaints about Veterinary Practitioner”.

The AVBC signed a mutual recognition agreement with the Veterinary Council of Ireland on 28 July 2022, formalising the current arrangements allowing veterinarians qualifying in Australasia and Ireland to move freely between each other’s jurisdictions.

The next available sitting of the Preliminary (MCQ) Examination will be on Friday 21 April 2023. The AVE Final (Clinical) Examinations are scheduled for 21-25 November 2022 and 5-9 December 2022. Expressions of interest in these sessions will be sought from eligible clinical candidates in due course.

The AVBC has recently updated the competencies and attributes required of Australasian veterinary graduates and is now seeking your input regarding these proposed competencies.
