The next available sitting of the Preliminary (MCQ) Examination will be in 2023, likely in April. The AVE Final (Clinical) Examinations are scheduled for 21-25 November 2022 and 5-9 December 2022. Expressions of interest in these sessions will be sought from eligible clinical candidates in due course.

From 1 July 2022, applicants for a 485 visa will no longer require a skills assessment. AVBC will not accept new skills assessment applications for candidates applying for this visa from 10 June 2022.

The AVBC would not be able to operate without the constant dedication of its Council member representatives, standing committee members, veterinary board members, registrars, and everyone in-between. Since 2018 AVBC has recognised this support through the annual AVBC awards, which took place last year on 18th November 2021.
